Practice Guide 5

Working with Neurodivergent Clients

At CCRTT we work from an understanding and on a basis that everyone is their own unique whole self. A whole self who has had their own unique experience of life as it has affected them. Practice Guides explain how we work as psychotherapists. If you would like to understand the developmental theory that underpins our approach, please see our Clinical Guides.

Throughout these Guides we use the terms psychotherapy and psychotherapist. Many people, however, search for a therapist, counsellor or counselling when looking for help. Although these terms have different professional meanings, they are often used interchangeably in everyday language. Unless otherwise stated, they may be understood in that general sense throughout these Guides.
